Digital Dish of the Week: Presidential Campaign Ads Run in EA’s Online Games

If you are still someone who isn’t convinced that gaming is a lucrative advertising vertical, this may be the best argument yet. As reported by VentureBeat, President Barack Obama’s campaign team has placed a number of ads in Electronic Arts’ online games. This is yet another example of how gamers comprise critical demographics (even in the realm of politics).

The ads, which are targeted for the key election states of Ohio, Nevada, Colorado, Iowa, New Hampshire, and Virginia, are running in Madden NFL 13, on Pogo.com, and in mobile games such as Battleship, Tetris and Scrabble.
