Digital Dish of the Week: Scope Bacon Mouthwash? April Fool’s!

This April Fool’s joke by P&G did not have all consumers laughing. The consumer-product giant carried out an ad campaign to promote its fake product Scope Bacon but made the mistake of starting the campaign on March 28. This left some consumers thinking that the product was actually going to be launched! Many wanted to try the product and began looking for it in the aisles at grocery stores. Looks like P&G learned a valuable lesson: Never fool with bacon.
