Tuesday evening, we held our roundtable discussion on in-game and app advertising at SideBar in Manhattan. The roundtable panel was comprised of individuals with experience at Zynga, Electronic Arts, Publicis, R/GA, Microsoft and Viacom among others.
All-in-all, it was a great night filled with fun, networking and great discussion. Some of the topics covered included: the importance of female gamers, user engagement and development challenges as well as key opportunities within the space for advertisers.
For instance, Wade Tinney, CEO of Large Animal Games, suggests, “Agencies are good at some things. But they have not understood the games market. They spend too much time talking about it and bring the gamers in way too late. That’s not a good fit.”
